EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS...
Love What They Do

Values Beliefs Traits Emotions Exceptional Leaders thrive on being in charge, knowing where they are going, and having a good time getting there. Their excitement energizes those around them.

If you do not enjoy your job, what are the chances that you are good at it?

If there are parts of the work that you are tolerating, seek ways to change things. You might delegate to others who are more able and interested in doing it.

However in the last analysis, if the work is not satisfying, do something else. Life is too short to do otherwise.

  • What percentage of the time do you say “Boy, I love this! This is why I do what I do”?
  • What percentage of the time do you say “It’s OK, I can tolerate it! This is what I do for a living”?
  • What percentage of the time do you say “I hate this part; I wish I could get rid of this”?
  • How often do you say “I love working with these people”?
  • How often do you say “I can tolerate working with these people, just as long as I don’t have to deal with them too much”?
  • How often do you say “I can’t stand working with these people”?

Exceptional Leaders know that loving what you do makes life worthwhile and increases the likelihood that everyone else around you will be happy and productive too. Happiness is contagious!
